Her Rogue Mates

Ohmigosh! This was one book that I definitely did not want to put down. But then again, every book that I have read from Ms Goodwin has that effect on me where once I start reading, I am just glued to the book. However, this really was one steamy book that definitely steamed me inside and out. Whew! In this book, we meet beautiful Harper who works as an ER nurse for the Coalition tending to the injured and wounded Coalition Soldiers on the battlefield. We also meet Blade and Styx who are not with the Coalition but are Renegades and leaders who are from one the legions called Styx on the moon base Rogue 5. Styx and Blade are two of the hottest characters that I have ever read about. Imagine a shorter Joe Manganiello who happens to be more built like a tank but always calm, cool, and collective with clear light green eyes and Blade who is like the Legolas character but with more of a masculine chiseled face with a Stern yet gentle look who has deep gray eyes and long straight hair with a shock of silver white hair and definitely with a bit of a temper. WOW!!!! While the book certainly had action and mystery, it lacked nothing short of steaminess especially when I read that part of hallway out of the bar. So intense was this part that I literally had to turn the fan on to cool myself. There is also a badass character that I really admired as she stood out in the book not to steal the limelight from Harper but to stand on her own just as well and that is the character named Silver. I loved that Grace put such a strong female badass character in the book. I was so glad to know that there is a strong woman (other than the heroine) who is respected and feared among a male dominated legion. You will have to read the book to know what I'm talking about but the characters of Styx and Blade definitely stands out like no other characters stand out and with a certain bite as well. (Mmmmm..for some reason my neck is sticking out..) As always Ms Goodwin, you have this amazing ability to suck your readers in your books. Your books is one of the highlights that I enjoy each and every month. I will always continue to support you by buying your books for myself as well as for my friends. Freakin' Hell! I knew Styx and Blade were going to be awesome as soon as they were introduced in His Virgin Bride and the author did not disappoint. From the very beginning, this book sucked me in and did not release me until I finished it. While it is in the Interstellar Bride Universe, Harper is not a matched Bride but a discovered mate. Styx and Blade are a fantastic mashup of good guy/bad guy and are absolutely perfect. They are violent (when it comes to protecting their own), caring, protective, dominant, and let's not forget downright dirty. Harper has such a capacity for compassion that it is almost detrimental at times but outstandingly awesome at other times. The plot has a little of everything - a heist, an assassination attempt, battles, celebrations, raging hot sex(though I tend to skip over these), spies, A NEW ATLAN THAT NEEDS A MATE (if you can't tell - I am particularly fond of the Atlans), and so much more. Don't wait! Grab a copy, enjoy and then let the author know that we need Warlord Wulf's story! Once again I received a copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed this book but I have purchased EVERY SINGLE book that the author has written for this universe and I have enjoyed them all.
